TesseracT + The Novelist & The Omnific
Amazing progressive metal music, three amazing bands on one stage, one unforgettable night in Gdańsk B90 Club. In that short sentence, we can describe the show organised by WiniaryBookings. The British band TesseracT visited Poland during their latest tour, with support bands from the French band The Novelists, and Australian The Omnific
TesseracT, a British progressive metal band formed in 2003, released their debut album One in 2011 under the Century Media label. Their sound incorporates elements of the Djent music genre, and they have since garnered a dedicated following. Their latest release, War of Being, is their fifth studio album featuring nine tracks and has been met with critical acclaim, with reviews consistently scoring in the upper ranges. What stands out the most in their live performances is the sheer variety and complexity of their sound. The energy they exude on stage is nothing short of electrifying, making them a captivating band to watch and photograph
The French band The Novelist, whom I had the pleasure of seeing live at Berlin's Hole44 club, also left a lasting impression on me. From the very first note, they quickly became one of my all-time favourite bands. The Durand brothers, along with their new vocalist Camille Contreras, have recently started work on a new studio album titled CODA. During their show, they performed songs from their previous album Do You Really Want To Know, Terrorist along with their latest releases, Coda and All For Nothing. If you ever get the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it—you won't be disappointed!
The Australian band The Omnific is an intriguing project, known for their unconventional setup, consisting solely of bass guitars and drums—typically considered the rhythm section of most bands. I was curious about how this unique arrangement would sound, but from the very first note, it became clear that their performance would be something extraordinary. The two bassists delivered an intricate and dynamic sound, weaving together complex solos, while the drummer's stage presence was equally impressive and entertaining. His skills, combined with his infectious energy (including spontaneous Fortnite dance moves), made him a joy to photograph. After their final track, I knew I had to experience their live show again
